In the course of investing in private equity partnerships, completing co-investments, raising capital for venture capital and private equity funds, and interacting with pension investors and their service providers, Rick Coffey accomplished the following:

 

• Recommended investments in 24 limited partnerships, totaling $583 million of commitments, while managing a large public pension plan's private investment allocation of $1.5 billion.   Many of these investments were in first-time funds or funds managed by emerging or spin-out teams, which eventually became industry leaders.

 

• Invested $177 million in direct investments and co-investments.

 

• Participated in the marketing and sale of limited partnership interests totaling approximately $800 million for 14 small funds that raised an aggregate of $2.2 billion, assisting those funds in "topping off" their investment pools or expanding their institutional  limited partner rosters.  Clients included emerging managers, teams spinning out from other institutions, and international firms seeking to raise capital in the U.S. market.
